Sharni Vinson, an Australian-American performer, actress and dancer born on 22 July 1983. She was born in Sydney Australia. In 2001, Sharni was cast in two episodes in Australian Soap Opera Home and Away. The casting agent was keen to cast her in one of the main roles. However, she did submit an try out for the role, but was not selected instead in the same show she got to play the role of Cassie Turner, an unruly teenager placed in foster care.
