Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American performer, actress and songwriter for several years. Her mother raised her throughout the USA she faced a lot of racial taunts and made her feel being unwanted. Her confidence began to grow at the age of nineteen after she took part in a school audition. She received a lot of praise for her performance. This experience did not just help her gain confidence but changed the direction she was heading in her the future. When she was 22 she was a graduate of New York's Julliard School. As she was turning 23 years old, she launched her career on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, aged 23 her first film debut was You've Got Mail. Her biggest breakthrough was when she appeared in the part in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway production of Spamalot receiving not just the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. Following that she was cast in the role of Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gaining wider fame. As a professional singer and producer, she's produced one single and an extended piece. She has also been an advocate for LGBT concerns.
