Ina-Garten
Ina Garten has been a popular American writer of cook books over the years. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa, which started in 2002. Ina began working in the White House as a writer of documents on nuclear energy and the budget. Although she found her job to be stimulating intellectually, eventually she lost her interest in it and bought a tiny specialty food store - Barefoot Contessa. The store was very successful over the course of 18 years until she made the decision to close it. Then she began writing the first book. Numerous other cookbooks and magazine columns followed. The Food Network television program also debuted and quickly became popular. In addition, she sells everything from equipment to cooking items and even containers. Ina did not go to a cooking academy and has never worked in restaurants. Ina is completely self-taught. Ina's easygoing style of entertaining and her straightforward cooking style is well-known. Some of her most popular recipes are Skillet with roasted lemon chicken and Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & cheese Beef Bourguignon.
