Lita Rossana Ford Also called Lita Ford, is an American guitar player and singer who was born in Britain. She was a lead guitarist in The Runaways, a hard-rock group made up of girls in late 1970s. Their punkish music and raunchy lyrics made them not only the attention of rock fans but also from the community. While the group was not success in their home country of the United States, it gained huge popularity abroad. Ford began a heavy metal solo career following the band's broke up in 1979. Her debut solo album was 'Dancin' On the Edge and was followed by the Album Out for Blood. Ford was absent from the scene for several years after both albums failed to be a huge success. It was 1988 when she released her hit album "Lita". The lead song "Kiss My Deadly" and the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were big hits. Unfortunately, the success of her career wasn't lasting and over the course of several years she went under the radar. In 1995 she debuted "Black" and fifteen years later , she released 'Wicked. She released her latest album Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the award of a Certified Guitar Legend.
